2023 Excellence Awards

Minnesota & Dakotas
As a 2022 recipient of the Craig Swider Prestige Award, Bennerotte Marketing Agency based in Minnesota continues to increase market share across all Josam product lines in the Minnesota and Dakota markets. Partners John, Rick and Karin, along with Eric, Joe and Matt are driven to provide their customers with first class service. The BMA team does an excellent job of distributing their efforts between engineers, wholesalers and contractors to ensure that they are engaged in all phases of project work.

Connecticut & Rhode Island
Focusing on the Connecticut and Rhode Island markets, the team at Yost Associates continue to be a dominant drain rep in their perspective markets. Partners Russ and JP along with their team of Kevin, Stacy, Lori and Justin are seasoned drain experts who customers have become accustomed to rely on turning to for their drainage needs. The outside staff remains tuned into project work while continuing to foster excellent wholesaler relationships. The outside efforts supported by the inside team makes Yost Associates a well-respected and successful rep firm.

New York City
A multiple year award winner, BMB Sales out of Brooklyn, NY is the epitome of a firm that works lean, hard and wisely. Principals Keith, Ron and Steve are actively engaged in the business and know their customer base extremely well. At most times equipped with a phone on each ear, the team at BMB can handle the fast pace of the Big Apple like pros. This team makes themselves accessible to their customer base and manufacturers at all times, hence providing excellent customer service to a very demanding market.

South Florida
A multiyear award winner with a record year in overall sales across all product categories Pope Sales is run by Chris Pope Sr and Chris Pope Jr. Pope Sales has over 50 years of drain experience and has been the Josam Rep in South Florida since 2011. Chris Sr runs the business with a focus on customer service and doing what is right for the customer; that means being in the office around 5:30am daily so contractors can pick up starting at 6am. Chris Jr handles outside sales, pushing on a daily basis to capture sales in one of the most competitive drain markets in the county with a can do attitude and making sure Pope Sales and Josam deliver for the customer including deliveries in a green pickup truck. The Pope family works hard with the knowledge the have built on drains over the years to make sure they focus on servicing, educating, and answering customers’ questions on the intricacies of the drain business.

Georgia
For the third consecutive year, SCW is a Josam Award winner. SCW is led by Joe Welsh, Principal. The team at SCW followed up a strong 2022 with an impressive 2023. Joe along with Mike Fair and Matthew Grace drive sales across all Josam product lines by securing product specifications, developing and maintaining contractor relationships, and partnering with distributors to provide best-in-class service. The outside team is backed-up by a veteran group led by Donald Dodd. Donald’s team consists of Don Hallford, Jim Kendall, and John Gray in inside sales; Wayne Ellard and Steve Holland in quotations; and Kevin Garrett and Kevin Whatley in the warehouse.

A first-time award winner for the state of Washington, King Sales is a team lead by Chris Cleary. The team did a great job in exceeding their combined quota across all product categories and are eager to grow. Chris Cleary, Chris Simpson, Dave Holte, and Tim Whitehead handle outside sales with an inside support team of James Gallagher, Ron Palmer, Will Muller and Allyson Fairburn. They look to build relationships on an individual level, working to service customers in the construction market. The key to their success is going after every opportunity with superior service and a can-do attitude.

RKR MANUFACTURER REPRESENTATIVES of Denver, CO

It is Josam’s distinct honor and pleasure to present RKR with the 2023 Craig Swider Prestige Award.

The transformation of RKR into a well-respected drain representative in the Colorado market was at the forefront of partners Paul Prutch and Kurt O’Donnell’s plans when they purchased the company in 2016. Although RKR was already a reputable manufacturers representative in the market, both Paul and Kurt knew that there was untapped potential on the Josam side of the business. While both understood that this goal was not going to be an easy one they were prepared to invest their own time and resources in accomplishing it. Paul and Kurt remained committed to their goal and never swayed from the plan to accomplish the goal. As time passed and RKR invested in the resources, they were not only able to capitalize on existing relationships but also gain new ones at all levels of the sales channel including engineers, contractors and wholesalers. In due time customers that did not give RKR an opportunity as a drain representative were starting to. It is my opinion today that RKR has established itself as one of the premier drain reps in the industry. I urge any of you that are contemplating taking your organization to the next level of a drain rep to reach out to them as a colleague for guidance.

Today Paul and Kurt are supported by an excellent inside and outside staff including Ed, Conor, Jimmy, Terrie, Jake, Kevin, Brett, Marcus, Drew, Albert and Joe along with an excellent warehouse team. A big thank you to the entire team at RKR for your hard work and investing in Josam. RKR is a testament to the success that Josam has experienced, and we are confident will continue to endure.
